The Lord Is Lord of All

Behold there is a mystery,

T’was there before the fall.

It's there throughout all history,

The Lord is lord of all.

 

Though God is unknown by many,

On this terrestrial ball,

God is never far from any.

The Lord is lord of all.

 

Spreading Good News is our mission.

It is our sacred call.

It is our holy Commission.

The Lord is lord of all.

 

Prepare Yourself

Prepare yourself for suffering,

For struggles lie ahead.

St. Peter wrote such a warning,

For that is what he said.

 

As Jesus suffered so will we,

Who profess Jesus’ name.

Prepare, hold fast, and be ready,

To suffer just the same.

 

Through this, by faith, we will endure,

And when we leave this place,

Our home is ready and secure,

When we meet Christ face to face.

 

Jesus Prayed that We Would Be One

Jesus prayed that we would be one,

Beyond diversity.

The body of Christ we would become,

In Christian unity.

 

Christ prayed to God that we’d be one,

For all eternity,

As with the Spirit they'd become,

A Holy Trinity.

 

What must we do to become one?

Let's pray that this will be.

Let's pray that God's will, will be done,

For all the world to see.

 

When Trouble Rose in the Desert

When trouble rose in the desert,

When Moses led the flock,

When Moses cried out to the Lord,

God had with him talk.

 

The people complained night and day.

They wanted meat to eat.

Mana had sustained them daily.

They desired to eat meat.

 

God gathered seventy elders,

And blessed them then and there.

God took some of moses's spirit,

And gave each one a share.

 

There Are Varieties of Gifts

There are varieties of gifts,

Of the Holy Spirit,

And varieties of service,

But one Holy Spirit.

 

Each has a manifestation,

Of the Holy Spirit.

It's given for the common good,

By the Holy Spirit.

 

The utterance of wisdom,

By the Holy Spirit.

The utterance of knowledge,

By the Holy Spirit.

 

Let Anyone Who Is Thirsty

Let anyone who is thirsty,

Come to Christ and drink in.

Drink in his grace and his mercy.

Believe, and let it sink in.

 

Out from the hearts of believers,

The Holy Spirit flows.

As living water like rivers,

Good News spreads where e’er it goes.

 

Jesus spoke thus of the Spirit,

Who soon would be supplied.

Non-believers could not hear it.

Christ was not yet glorified.

 

In the Beginning God Took Time

In the beginning God took time,

To work a bit each day.

But there was also resting time.

Balance work and rest today.

 

At the end of a busy week,

God took a day of rest.

As creatures of God may we seek,

Time each week to be so blessed.

 

In God's image we all were made,

To fully live each day.

Through us may God's love be displayed,

By the way we live today.

 

Agree with One Another

Agree with one another so,

That we might live in peace.

Through us may the love of God show,

And all hostilities cease.

 

For we know God, who loves us so,

Sent to us Jesus,

That forgiveness of sins we’d know,

Has been given to us.

 

Unto the world let it be so,

That in us love is found.

Through us may this seed of love grow,

And be spread all around.

 

When They Went Back to Galilee

When they went back to Galilee,

Some disciples doubted.

There the ascension they did see,

As upward Christ floated.

 

Authority was given him,

The world was in his reach.

Authority he gave to them,

To go baptize and teach.

 

Remember always Christ’s with us,

To the end of the age.

We go in the name of Jesus,

On his mission we'll engage.

 

When Abraham Left His Homeland

When Abraham left his homeland,

By God he was most blessed.

He traveled to the promised land,

Through him God would bless the rest.

 

Abraham did as he was told,

He obeyed the Lord's will.

With such faith what might we behold?

What role might we fulfill?

 

In quiet times of daily prayer,

Pause, listen for God's word.

Allow God's guidance with you share,

Then go do what you have heard.

 

We Lift the Whole World in Our Prayers

We lift the whole world in our prayers.

 

We lift both joys and concerns in our prayers.

 

We lift everybody here in our prayers.

 

We lift everyone out there in our prayers.

 

The Promise Came to Abraham

The promise came to Abraham,

Not through the law but faith.

Abraham was a righteous man,

With him we take our place.

 

We base our faith on our belief,

That God's the great “I Am.”

Through mercy God grants us relief,

Like God did for Abraham.

 

He believed God's revelations,

When all was said and done.

The father of many nations,

Is what he would become.

 

Simple Words

With simple words of “Follow me,”

Matthew left his tax booth.

He started on his faith journey,

And he would learn the truth.

 

Jesus sat with tax collectors,

And there with them he ate.

But there were other detractors,

Filled with judgmental hate.

 

“Those who are well,” replied Jesus,

“Don't need a physician.”

The great physician came for us,

That our sins be forgiven.

 

Is Anything Too Wonderful

Is anything too wonderful,

For the Lord God to do?

Sarah laughed and was skeptical.

She thought her dreams were through.

 

The angel of the Lord did speak,

A child was to be born.

Laughter would bring tears to the cheek

Of the one who'd been forlorn.

 

Is anything too wonderful,

For God to now bless us?

God's grace and love are bountiful.

Because God sent Jesus.

 

Since We Are Justified by Faith

Since we are justified by faith,

We too have peace with God.

Through Christ we have accessed God's grace,

And place our hope in God.

 

Jesus died for the ungodly,

At the right time for us.

Because while we were still sinners,

We know Christ died for us.

 

The Harvest Is Most Plentiful

The harvest is most plentiful,

The laborers are few.

Ask of the Lord of the harvest,

What is it we might do?

 

Christ had compassion for the crowds,

They were like wandering sheep.

Without a shepherd they were lost,

He harvest ripe to reap.

 

The disciples then Christ did send out.

Christ sent them two by two.

Christ sends out to the world today.

Christ sends out me and you.

 

In Those Times

In those times when we’re in distress,

When things are at their worst.

When needed most the Lord does bless.

The last is made the first.

 

Even when Sarah bore no child,

While Hagar bore a son.

Ishmael Sarah reviled,

Because she had born none.

 

Then strangers came with a promise,

A mother she would be.

God's faithful promise fulfilled this,

Nations come from progeny.

 

Sarah's heart had but room for one,

The other had to go.

The destiny was for her son,

Hence two nations now would grow.

 

This Is the Lord God’s World

This is the Lord God's world,

A wondrous work of art.

Created in beneficence,

Conceived in the Lord's heart.

 

Chorus:

This is the Lord God's world,

Given for us all to share.

As we stand here, let us be clear,

Caretakers are to take care.

 

As each new day begins,

Let us give to God our praise.

No matter what God is here for us.

Thank God we're blessed always.

 

As evening comes around,

After work thank God for rest.

Let us praise God as we quiet down.

All in all, we all are blessed.

 

The Death Christ Died

The death Christ died, he died to sin.

Know that he died for all.

Christ died for us our souls to win,

Over sin and over all.

 

As Christ arose so we will rise,

Beyond this life of sin.

The gates will open in the skies,

That we might enter in.

 

How might we live until that day,

For there is much to do.

Repent of sin, live life today.

Jesus will guide us through.

 

Jesus Revealed

Jesus revealed we'd plainly see,

Whatever is covered.

T’would not be so eternally,

It will become uncovered.

 

Jesus revealed that we're to say,

What we hear in the night.

Spread the good news throughout the day,

Proclaim it in the light.

 

Jesus revealed a quiet word,

That's whispered in our ear.

From housetops it should be heard,

That Christ’s message becomes clear.

 

We Are Thankful for You

The Lord Will Provide

There are times when we are tested,

And times when we are tried.

In the worst times we are blessed,

For the Lord will provide.

 

When Abraham was called upon,

When Isaac could have died.

This sacrifice would not be done,

For the Lord will provide.

 

God knew then Abraham believed,

For on God, he relied.

Abraham would not be bereaved,

For the Lord will provide.

Death Is the Wage of Sin

Unto the Romans Paul did write,

They weren't who they had been.

He wrote that they would get it right,

Death is the wage of sin.

 

They would not live in lawlessness,

A new world would begin.

They would live lives of blessedness.

Death is the wage of sin.

 

Those Who Welcome You

Those who welcome you, welcome me,

Jesus exclaimed one day.

And they welcome the Trinity,

It's the same for us today.

 

In Jesus name we welcome all,

For none are turned away.

When we respond to Jesus’ call,

We are called to live that way.

 

When you are welcomed in Christ’s name,

Blessings are their reward.

They will be blessed because you came,

On your journey heavenward.

 

When We Have a Meaningful Task

When we have a meaningful task,

That's given us to do.

From others and God may we ask,

For help to see it through.

 

The work is not the hardest part,

Many hands make it light.

Asking for help is a good start.

With help all will turn out right.

 

Remember others need help too,

A difference we can make.

So, do all the good you can do.

Just do it for heaven's sake.
