For Many Days Moses Was Gone

For many days Moses was gone,

to speak with God on high.

A calf was made and looked upon,

as a god to glorify.

 

God saw the people as stiff-necked,

and disobedient.

It had a negative effect.

The Lord became indignant.

 

Are there times when we break God's heart,

By the sins we commit?

Today may we each do our part,

and repent of all of it.

 

The People in Samaria

The people in Samaria,

Converted to the word.

Good news spread through the area,

As their conversion was heard.

 

Peter and John went there to pray,

And then they realized,

There was something missing that day,

They were not fully baptized.

 

They were baptized in Jesus name,

Not in the Trinity.

Laying on hands the spirit came,

With power most mightily.

 

When You See Me, What Do You See

When you see me, what do you see,

An insight you might lack?

For you see, it's not about me,

But God who has my back.

 

In me can you see God at work,

Through things I do and say?

God strengthens me that I don't shirk,

All I might do today.

 

In God's image you too were made.

So, I see God in you.

In your good works God is displayed.

God in you shines through.

 

Of Many Called We Are the Few

Of many called we are the few,

Believers who have heard.

May all we do glorify you,

As followers of your word.

 

We'll go wherever you lead us,

Right here or anywhere.

We'll faithfully follow Jesus.

When we're needed, we'll be there.

 

Paul Revealed a Great Mystery

Paul revealed a great mystery,

To those who were outside.

It has changed all of history,

As the Good News spread worldwide.

 

Those who were out were welcomed in.

Insiders were put out.

In Christ Gentiles were forgiven,

While the Jews were filled with doubt.

 

But Jews would believe when they saw,

That Gentiles now believed,

It’s about love and not the law,

Thus, God’s mercy they received.

 

May we see God’s love is for us,

And all who may believe.

Welcome in the name of Jesus,

All whom Jesus would receive.

 

Many Members Make One Body

Many members make one body,

When together we pull.

In wonder see what we might see,

By God we’re made wonderful.

 

Give thanks for all gifts God gives us,

That we might do God’s will.

We will discover our purpose,

Our destiny to fulfil.

 

Encourage others whom you see,

Are gifted by God too.

That they might serve God faithfully,

All God’s gifted them to do.

 

In These Times Ravaged by Evil

In these times ravaged by evil,

Lift your eyes to the light.

Beyond the chaos and darkness,

Turn the wrong into right.

 

We are at the right time and place,

To offer resistance.

Resolve to follow the Lord's will,

To make a difference.

 

The world needs people just like us,

When evil is at hand.

Be the followers of Jesus,

Who rise to take a stand.

 

By God We're Given Life Fully

By God we’re given life fully,

That we might truly live.

God gives to us abundantly,

That likewise we might give.

 

All that we have are gifts of God,

Yes, we are truly blessed.

Thus, all we do we do for God,

For God gave to us the best.

 

To save us from our selfish ways,

God gave to us Jesus,

That we might learn to live our days,

Doing all God asks of us.
